UPDATE 12/20/24: Part 4 is below.

Sharing our experiences with women's health is a very important thing to me.
Too much about women's health gets swept under the rug, shamed, and hushed and for what?
It does nothing but hurt us in the long run.
We need each other. We need to hear about others' experiences so that if/when it happens to us or something we know, we've got something to draw on and have some concept of what to expect.
This is why I want to share my story that all started with a routine mammogram and will ultimately end with a lumpectomy. I will add to this blog post after my surgery to share my experience with that as well.
Please feel free to reach out with questions, comments, wonderings, or concerns. I am an open book and am happy to discuss further.
Here is a video that I recorded as it was easier to share in this format.
Update 11/27/2024: There have been many changes since part 1. Here's part 2. I will continue to update as I get new information
Update 12/4/24: We have an official diagnosis and the beginnings of a treatment plan. Here is part 3 and as always, the updates will continue as I have them.
Update 12/20/2024: Many updates since Dec 4. Breast MRI, I met my oncologist, I had lumpectomy surgery on 12/18/24.
